Open rehearsal: Stravinsky and Gershwin

This rehearsal has already taken place. View our calendar here.

Under the direction of chief conductor Lorenzo Viotti, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra rehearses a program with music by Stravinsky and Gershwin.

A lot of time and effort goes into preparing for a concert. The musicians must study, practise and rehearse the concert repertoire. Once a month, they do so in public. You can enjoy a unique glimpse behind the scenes and witness the interaction between conductor, orchestra and soloists as they gradually mould the perfect performance.

The open rehearsal is approximately one hour in duration. You will therefore hear only part of the full concert programme.
